Lunar New Year Celebration

Join the AKG for a Lunar New Year Celebration hosted by the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association. There will be a performance by JGB Shibuki in honor of the Lunar New Year!

JGB Shibuki, a dynamic taiko drum ensemble based in Western New York, passionately showcases traditional Japanese drumming to diverse audiences. Inspired by the roaring energy of Niagara Falls, each member’s unique contribution on the drum creates a collective thunder, resonating their mission to share the art of taiko while promoting values of empowerment, unity and spirit.
